Manchester City U18 absolutely dominated Liverpool U18 today, winning 5-0. It was a resounding victory, a complete display of dominance.
City came out firing, showing a very structured approach to the game. Early goals from M. Warhurst, followed by another from Warhurst, set the tone early in the game. Then came another goal by R. Heskey, who also scored a penalty. They looked very well-drilled in their passing and movement, exploiting Liverpool's defensive vulnerabilities.
Liverpool U18, despite some valiant efforts, struggled to contain City's attack. They did have a few promising moments but just couldn't capitalize on them. The substitutions made by Liverpool didn't seem to stem the tide of the attacking pressure from the opposition.
The most exciting moments were undoubtedly the flurry of goals in the first half and the tense moments as City pushed for more goals in the second half. It was a very one-sided match in the end.
