The Spartans controlled the majority of the possession, looking to dictate the pace from the outset. They were well organised in their build-up play and consistently threatened the Mounties goal. While the Mounties gave it a good go, and they were looking to counter-attack, the Spartans’ resolute defence made it tough for them to get into the game.
