What a match! Mogadishu City pulled off a nail-biting 2-1 win over Horseed at Muqdisho Stadium today, in a game that had everything.
Mogadishu City, playing on the front foot, took the lead early with a goal from Mark in the 17th minute. It was a well-taken goal that showed the visitors' intent. Horseed, however, fought back brilliantly. A superb strike from M. Shine levelled the score at 1-1 in the 33rd minute, putting both teams in a tense deadlock at the break.
The second half saw the two teams locked in a fierce battle. The pressure was mounting as the game wore on. And then, in the dying minutes of the game, Mogadishu City's Kelvin K stepped up and slotted home a penalty to seal the victory in the 90th minute! That was a real game-changer and a moment to savour.
In terms of the play, Mogadishu City clearly had a higher possession rate, dominating much of the action. However, Horseed's determination and organization, coupled with some brilliant individual performances, meant that neither team could truly pull away. We saw some excellent one-on-one battles and incredible tackles throughout.
The crowd was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric, with both teams giving everything they had on the pitch! A truly memorable match!
