What a rollercoaster of a match! Istra 1961 and NK Slaven Belupo put on a show for the fans at Stadion Aldo Drosina. The final score was a nail-biter, 2-3 to NK Slaven Belupo, but the whole game was packed with exciting moments.
The first half was a battle of wills, with both teams playing an intense, possession-based game. Both sides scored two goals apiece in the first half, keeping the score tied at 2-2. The most thrilling moments of this half were the penalty goal for Istra and a beautiful strike by I. Krstanović for Belupo.
The second half was a mix of substitutions and tense play. Istra's late substitutions aimed to change the momentum, but unfortunately, one of Belupo's substitutes, D. Puclin, scored a goal to give Belupo the win. There were several yellow cards issued in the match.
Istra 1961 seemed to dominate possession for long stretches, but Slaven Belupo's counter-attacking play proved devastating.
Overall, it was a fantastic match with lots of action. Belupo, particularly in the second half, showed their tactical awareness, capitalizing on the chances that came their way. The final result truly proved that it was a match to remember!
