Wow, what a match! Nice comfortably defeated Reims 2-0 at the Stade Municipal du Ray. Nice looked determined from the start, controlling possession and creating a few good chances.
Nice's attacking play was impressive. They looked to exploit Reims' defense, creating chances with their passing and movement. Reims, despite a few substitutions, struggled to create much. They had a few shots, but ultimately couldn't penetrate Nice's defense.
The first half saw a single goal for Nice, a penalty conversion by V. Eysseric, giving Nice a 1-0 lead at the break. The second half saw Nice continue their pressure, with a second goal from R. Civelli, securing the win.
The most exciting moment, for me, was definitely the second goal. A great passing combination ending in a clinical finish.
Nice seemed to adopt a more direct approach to the game, targeting Reims' backline. Reims, on the other hand, seemed to focus on a slightly more cautious, defensive gameplan. A tough evening for Reims.
