What a match! Athletic Club emerged victorious over Police in a nail-biting encounter at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, 3-2!
The game was a back-and-forth affair from the opening whistle. Police, playing at home, certainly looked to dictate the early stages of the match, scoring twice in the first half. A. Hutchinson and T. Noel were the goal scorers for Police.
But Athletic Club, undeterred, fought back strongly. J. Rochford struck twice to pull the game to level, scoring in the 69th and 72nd minutes respectively, and then, in the dying minutes of the game, R. Stewart secured the win for the visitors in the 85th minute.
The atmosphere was electric! The crowd was roaring their support for both teams.
It was a real battle of wills, with both teams showing great determination. The most exciting moments came in the second half, when Athletic Club's comeback completely turned the game around. There were some fantastic plays and crucial interceptions, ultimately defining the match. The final result was truly a testament to the intensity and skill on display. The teams really put on a show for the fans!
