Both teams came out with a strong attacking approach, evidenced by the number of shots taken on goal. The first half saw both teams trade goals, with Victoria leading 1-0 at the half-time break, then CD Motagua eventually equalizing at 1-1.
The second half was a whirlwind of substitutions and some tense moments, particularly after Victoria's second goal. CD Motagua fought hard to find the equalizer, and they finally managed to do just that; it was a fantastic game.
Some of the most exciting moments included goals by players L. Hurtado (Victoria) and L. Campana (CD Motagua), as well as C. Bernárdez's goal.
